Vanguard 15 Nationals returns to Clipper Cove, site of the V15 nationals back in 2002 and 2000, as well as 2009 collegiate team race nationals and hosted by Treasure Island Sailing Center (TISC). For those who haven't sailed there, Clipper Cove is a great venue: flat water, consistent 10-20 knot seabreeze that fills in during the late morning, and air temperatures in the high 60s to low 70s. The venue is a couple minutes sail from the launch ramp. We expect a great turnout for this regatta, anchored by the size of Vanguard 15 fleet 53 with over 40 teams competing in our season and over 15 teams on any given night. Our PRO, Forrest Gay, is the sailing director at San Francisco YC. And San Francisco, with its great nightlife, is just five minutes from the race venue. ...
