Welcome! The 2018 Flying Scot Midwinter Championship returns to Sarasota Florida, Monday, March 26th through Thursday, March 29th. Check-in and measurement begin Saturday, March 24th with a practice race planned Sunday, March 25th. The previous Midwinters in Sarasota have averaged 63 boats and another great turnout is expected. For those who have sailed at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron (SSS), you will be pleased to hear the club has recently completed renovations on most of their docks including elimination of the "bridge" that gives even more Flying Scot room for the ‘brief’ stay on the dock. Sarasota is a jewel and the place to be at the end of winter! Downtown Sarasota, Longboat Key, St. Armand’s Circle, Siesta and Lido Beach offer all you can ask for: hotels in all price categories, restaurants, bars, beaches, and history.
