Hello everyone
As the date closes in and people are getting ready to travel i just want to share some information about your arrival at Harrison.
Once you arrive at Harrison, please watch for the direction signs to the park as it will show you the easiest way to get there with large rigs and trailers.
This is a public park so we must respect the area and not impede public use in the park at all times. The park will be open to receive trailers at Noon Friday Sept 13th. The park is not open overnight, but we will be there early in the morning to let you in. Vehicle traffic is restricted in the park so we have made arrangements to have your trailer towed into the park to where you can unload and setup your boats. The trailers will stay in the park for the duration of the event. We will also have a small utility trailer to move gear etc to where your trailer is parked.
During the weekend it is paid parking in the streets of Harrison, but free on Lillooet Ave (look it up). After Sept 15 all the street parking is free, except for the Boat Launch spots... Bicycles are a great idea to get around the town, especially for those with RV sites.
At the moment the weather is looking good with the possibility of a bit of rain on the weekend, but sunny with temps in the low 70's for the rest of the week.
We look forward to receiving you and hope you will have a great stay!
If there are any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi Everyone
Thanks for registering for the Hobie 16/ Hobie 20 North American Championships at Harrison Hot Springs in BC.
You do realize it is in CANADA, eh? It is a different country and we have slightly different rules.... So just to give you a heads up to be prepared, I spoke with the Border Services to clarify a few things to ease your crossing....
1) to cross the border you will need either a) a VALID passport, b) enhanced driver license or c) photo ID and birth Certificate. However, it seems the US Customs will not let you back in with just C, You need A or B, so be prepared. If you are bringing someone else's minor children, make sure you have a letter of permission with you from the parent.
2) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BRING ANY SORT OF FIREARM WITH YOU. This includes canisters of Pepper Spray. They don't like it and more than likely they will take it away from you. You won't need it. Even the Sasquatch is tame.
3) do not bring any fresh food stuffs, meat, veggies, fruit... Commercially packaged meat is ok, but not deli wrapped stuff.. Besides, we have great fruit and veggies here!
4) If you have some sort of proof of boat ownership, great (state registration, etc..) Should not be a big deal if not...I've never had any issues going either way... and i don't think any of our regulars coming north do either...
5) If you are bringing someone else's boat with you, a letter from that person giving you permission to transport their boat would not go amiss either.
6) Bring a copy of your event registration/ accommodation reservation. Again, may not be needed, but can't hurt to have handy.
Any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
