Welcome! The 2019 Flying Scot Midwinter Championship returns to Sarasota Florida, Sunday, March 24th through Wednesday, March 27th. Early Check-in and measurement by appointment begins Friday, March 22nd. General registration begins Saturday, March 23, from 10 am to 5 pm. Skippers meeting is at 6 pm. The previous Midwinters in Sarasota have averaged 63 boats and another great turnout is expected. For those who have sailed at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron (SSS), you will be pleased to hear the club has recently completed renovations on most of their docks including elimination of the "bridge" that gives even more Flying Scot room for the ‘brief’ stay on the dock. Sarasota is a jewel and the place to be at the end of winter! Downtown Sarasota, Longboat Key, St. Armand’s Circle, Siesta and Lido Beach offer all you can ask for: hotels in all price categories, restaurants, bars, beaches, and history.
