The Ocean - Great Lakes Challenge Cup was first offered in 1915 to promote competition between Chicago Yacht Club and Eastern clubs. In 2014, the challenge cup was restarted as a Shields class event. April 26-28, 2019 Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club will host the OGLC on the Monterey Bay.
