This Weta regatta will take place at the Gulfport Yacht Club in Gulfport, Florida. This regatta is open to multihull dinghies. This is a WETA (single and double-handed divisions) North American Class-sanctioned event. Other classes are welcome by request. This event is limited to a total of 30 boats. Registration will be cut off when that limit is reached. A waiting list will be created. This regatta counts toward the Weta Florida Championship series.
The Organizers have selected The Magic Yarn Project to support as our charity. The foundation was co-founded by Dick Hitchcock's daughter Bree Hitchcock. This 100% volunteer organization's mission is to make and distribute character wigs to children suffering from medical hair loss. It is the charity's goal to bring happiness into the lives of children stricken with cancer.
