The St John Yacht Club announces the 2025 La Tapa Place Race held February 16, 2025. Please note due to insurance issues ALL BOATS MUST ENTER VIA REGATTA NETWORK. Click the following LINK or go to https://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/applet_registration_form.php?regatta_id=29270. There will be PHRF spinnaker, non spinnaker, and multihull. Entry fee is $50 payable through the Regatta Network Homepage. Boats registered online will receive race instructions via email or they can receive them from the committee boat on the morning of the regatta. Start will be off Two Brothers with the first starting signal at 10am. Prizes will be awarded for placing yachts in all classes. The Bill Morris Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the monohull with the best corrected time and the Jack Bosh Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the monohull with the best elapsed time. Awards will be on the beach in Cruz Bay in front of La Tapa Restaurant. Drinks and food will be cash only. The race will be run under the jurisdiction of the St. John Yacht Club and the US Sailing RRS 2025 - 2028 shall apply. Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. The St. John Yacht Club will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
