Richmond YC Intraclub races are low-key and fun events for RYC members as well as the Alerion 28 fleet. To enter, boats must be at least 18 feet in overall length. A current PHRF certificate is not required as long as your rating is still accurate. The courses will use government and permanent YRA buoys, and sometimes islands, in the SF Bay as marks. Boats are assigned to one of 3 fleets: Alerion 28, Spinnaker, and Non-Spinnaker. The race format is time-on-time for the handicap divisions. Classes with 5 or more boats will get a one-design finish score. There are two possible start areas: >Bob Klein - A strategic sail up Raccoon Straits - but only if there is wind in there (e.g W-NW breeze). > XOC - Center of Berkeley Circle for southerlies, northerlies, or when the wind favors it!
