About Event

The Commodore's Cup is awarded to the PHRF Cruising and Racing Class yacht that has the best scores for this five race series that incluede the KPYC - Ron Gibbons Memorial Regatta, The Whaleback Regatta, The Lobster Doubel Handed Regatta, The Singlehanded Regatta, and the PYC - Mowers Cup Pursuit Race.  Each Regatta test the skill of the skipper and his crew with unique challanges resented for each race.  In the past these event have drawn no less than 15 yachts for great competition on the water and wonderful post race awards socials.  So who is the best in 2013, The Commodore's Cup will answer that question. Race in one or all of these regattas, they are scored separately and awards given after each race. Your one time registration is all that is necessary to compete in each of these events.

    Skippers: Since the end of the race two changes were made that affected the standings for the Ron Gibbons Memorial Regatta. Leela's PHRF-NE rating was adjusted from 162 to 153 in the Cruising Class. It did not affect her first place position just made is closer between first and second. Chaos was scored incorrectly in the Racing Fleet and has been moved to the Cruising Fleet. This gives her a 3rd place finish and moved all yachts down one place, and Racing Fleet scores moved up for places 4, 5, and 6.
