This is the 30th Oar Race Regatta. It is a feeder race from New Bern to Oriental for the Michelob Ultra Cup, which is scheduled on Sunday sept. 1st. Participation in the Michelob Ultra Cup is not required. The Oar Race commemorates the evacuation of Dunkirk and the perpetual award is an oar used during that historic event. The overall winner will have their name added to the perpetual trophy and receive a miniature replica.
