Hey Y'all - I've been around a few seasons, but looking to get more actively engaged. I'm a decent mastman and a passable trimmer with some direction. Strong enough to handle winches and smart enough to follow instruction.
Really looking to enjoy some evenings with a good group of people, make friends, and learn a bit about sailing.

Flying Scot skipper at SCOW, two years of Wednesday Night Racing, frequent training sails, and regattas, many years of recreational sailing on 14 ft dinghies and windsurfing, 1 year crewing keelboats w/helm training on Catalina 25s in moderate conditions; some day sailing crewing on 25-40 ft keelboats. Experienced crew looking for more big-boat experiences. I started on 420s then cruised and raced on 30 & 40 ft yachts in Chicago, including the Hook race multiple times (3-day, 2 -night race). Currently volunteer instruct with DCSail on the Anacostia on Flying Scots and completed the RYA Day Skipper certification in the Mediterranean.
