Hello, I am interested in securing a crew position for the 2016 event. I am 42 years old, in good health, been sailing since I was about 5. ASA 101 and 103 completed in SF Bay in 1995. Several "big boat" bareboat charters under my belt since then, plus a fair amount of crew experience on 34-36 foot monohulls in the Atlantic Ocean (all coastal/day trips) back about 10 years ago. Been in Texas about 5 years and currently sail my 19' O'Day pocket cruiser all along the Texas Gulf Coast, from Port Isabel to Port Lavaca. Have successfully completed three Texas 200s in recent years, plus a Florida 120. These are events that are primarily in the bays, but I have done the 35 mile offshore/coastal leg from Port Isabel to Port Mansfield twice as part of the 2013 and 2015 Texas 200 event on my boat. Thanks!

Hi! I've been sailing for about 2 years, did ASA 101, and just joined a Wednesday Night race team. By October 2016 I should be pretty fit, trained and good to go!

Hello!!! I was onboard to race HMR but due to rigging trouble the boat will not be ready to race. I'm 43 yrs old and started sailing at age 10 out of LYC. I have lots of Racing/Sailing experience on Sunfish, J/22,J/24 circuits on Galveston bay and around Texas. I have big boat experience on Tartan 10,J boats, Cals, Pearsons. My only open water experience was Veracruz in 1990 with Roy Newberry who was also my sailing coach growing up. I have not raced since 2004 but after spending this past summer sailing on Galveston bay the bug bit me to race again. I'm comfortable with any position on a boat, just a little rusty. I'm available to race to Port A as well as sail the boat back the following week. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Crew has to work on Monday and you need help getting the boat back? I am crewing down but boat stays. Would rather crew back than walk. I am neither a teacher or a novice but I can do what you need and understand how a boat works. I have the time to go at your pace.

I have done 3 HMR's and had podium finished 2 out of the three times I have been sailing for almost 3 1/2 years and have been fortunate to have sailed on many sized boats. I have experience in the pit, main, jib, & helm. I would be an excellent addition to your crew. Hello everyone and thanks for considering me as a crew member. I live in Houston, I'm 29, work in technical sales and have been sailing the area (mostly solo) since I left the 82nd ABN in 2008. Although I don't have any racing experience I would love to gain experience and can help with all elements of crewing and I\'m a darn good cook to boot! I just bought a Catalina 34 in Rockport and will be sailing it up next weekend so I\'ll be fresh and familiar with the route... if my lack of experience racing is a detrimental factor I would be more than happy to help crew any boats back to Houston in order to gain experience as well. Thanks again and feel free to call, text or email.

Looking to do my first Harvest Moon Regatta. I've crewed for 20 years in the great lakes doing summer series racing, one design racing, national regattas, and have done ~(15) 250 mile distance races on a Tarten-10 (T-10). I would love to do the Harvest Moon Regatta if anyone has an open position on their boat.

Experienced 3-person crew will sail (or help you sail) your boat back to Houston free-of-charge (as well as drive your car to have it waiting for you in Corpus):
Don H. first learned to sail as a midshipman in the U.S. Navy, where he earned his offshore crewmen certification. In the fleet from 1990 to 1998, Don flew the P-3C Orion patrol aircraft, served aboard both US and British aircraft carriers, and manned the Mediterranean operations center as part of an Admiral's staff. Among other responsibilities, Don was designated the Mediterranean search and rescue officer for the US Navy for a period of three years.
Ben S. started sailing as a child, but began sailing larger vessels (25 ft to 35 ft boats) when he moved to Houston in 2011. Since that time, he has achieved his 101, 103, and 104 ASA Student Certification, and continues to sail vessels single-handedly on a regular basis in Clear Lake and Galveston Bay.
Loren B. has been a pleasure sailor for years, mostly joining friends as crew on weekend voyages on Cape Cod and in Newport, Rhode Island. Recently he made his first open ocean voyage, sailing from the Galápagos Islands to French Polynesia over the course of a month.
If you are interested, please contact Don at Six One Zero-457-4881 or Ben at Two Eight One-658-3278

I have sailed the HMR twice going down and back; plus brought boats back throught the ditch. Have also done several offshore runs and overnight sails to Freeport from Kemah. I have seven years experience on my own boat, a Hunter 33; sadly I had to let it go due to lack of interest from family. I am easy going and I like to run the galley, I can buy the groceries and keep everyone supplied with food on the way. I am a nifty fifty, engineer and very fit so I can help out when things break or go awry as they tend to do.

My wife and I are looking to crew for the year's regatta. We where originally hoping to take our boat but our sails will not be ready in time so we're hoping to crew. We don't really have any racing experience but both have a couple weeks of offshore sailing/watch standing experience from when we purchased our boat in Maryland and sailed down to the Bahamas (outside) and then a round the islands a bit and over to florida and across the gulf to Kemah. We're not expert sailors but are both competent crew and would really like to build our experience with a little more overnight experience.
We're both fit and friendly and can help both directions if needed.

Hi all. Novice sailor seeking opportunities to crew. I am a 39 yr. old engineer and have recently completed the ASA 101 course. I have spent many summers in the past working on commercial fishing vessels in Alaska so I am comfortable spending time at sea. I am a fast learner and able to take directions. I would enjoy the opportunity to learn from an experienced skipper. If you are short a crew member and would like a hard working, focused, capable hand to fill that spot, then I'm your man!
Thanks,
Jeff
