The apps were green with bright orange and yellow, and they were right. The fleet was told to stay in harbor, let it pass. When it settled down a nice westerly filled, then a northerly, northeast, back to north, ..... Hope was the southerly would fill - nope. Instead of chasing it and loosing the daylight, a downwind start was called with a mark about .8 km away. Twice around made for headstay kites and jibs on the lifelines. 10 boats started and finished.
