Registration for Island Heights Yacht Club : USA JUNIOR OLYMPIC MID-ATLANTIC SAILING FESTIVAL 2024

US SAILING MEMBERSHIP:
Youth or Family membership in US SAILING is required for each sailor (helmsman and crew for doublehanded classes). You will need the junior sailor’s US Sailing membership # (not the parent’s) before registering for the Junior Olympics online. Family members may request individual membership cards for each child by calling the US SAILING membership office: 1-800-US-SAIL-1 or going to www.usailing.org web site and following directions. IHYC will NOT be taking any US Sailing registrations.

NOTE: Due to space constraints registration for each class is limited. We can accept a MAXIMUM of 300 boats. Any entrant after these limits have been reached will be placed on a waitlist and notified if a space becomes available. A minimum of 10 boats is required to form a class, if 10 boats of any class have not registered by July 1st the class may be dropped or moved into another class (i.e. Laser Full Rig to Laser Radial, etc)

You CANNOT change fleets, once registered. Make sure you register for the correct fleet! (i.e.-No switching from Gold to Silver fleets!)

CHECK IN: All sailors from Pine Beach, Ocean Gate, Beachwood, Toms River and Island Heights Yacht Clubs MUST check in on Sunday from 3PM-5PM. This will avoid long lines and confusion on Monday morning. A $5.00 fee will be accessed to those sailors from these clubs that do not honor this request.

CONSENT/WAIVER FORMS: In addition to completing this registration form, Each competitor (skipper and crew) is required to submit a COMPLETELY FILLED IN Medical Consent form as part of registration.

HOUSING: There is a Holiday Inn and a Comfort Inn in Toms River and some bed & breakfasts in town. Check the Internet for more information.

The undersigned acknowledges that in consideration of the efforts of the host organization(s), for being allowed to participate in this regatta/races and the acceptance of this application to race, HE/SHE DOES HEREBY WAIVE AND RELEASE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS THE UNDERSIGNED MAY HAVE AGAINST THE HOSTS, THEIR OFFICERS, TRUSTEES AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS, MEASURERS, JUDGES, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES ARISING OUT OF THE ACTIVITIES REQUIRED FOR THE RACES ON THE WATER, AND DOES FURTHER COVENANT AND AGREE NOT TO SUE OR TO BRING ANY CLAIM OR CLAIMS OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER AGAINST THE HOST ORGANIZATION(S) OR ANY OF THE PERSONS AND OFFICERS NAMED, OR UNNAMED, ABOVE WHO MAY BE ACTING ON THE HOSTS’ BEHALF.
