I acknowledge that sailing involves some risk and I understand that the decision to participate in this event is my sole responsibility and not that of the South Carolina Yacht Club. I am acquainted with The Racing Rules of Sailing, Part 1, Fundamental Rule 4: “A boat is solely responsible for deciding whether or not to start or to continue racing.” In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, I hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims, actions, causes of action and suits whatsoever, in law, admiralty or equity, against the South Carolina Yacht Club and each of its officers, directors, employees, sponsors, members, representatives, and agents (collectively as "Releasees") resulting from or arising out of my participation in this event or using the South Carolina Yacht Club's boats or facilities.
