1700 Sail Number change deadline

1830 Club and Coach check-in closes for the day.

SATURDAY October 19, 2024:

0745 Club and Coach on-site check in opens; Emerald Fleet parents/sailors check-in

0859 Club and Coach, Emerald Fleet on-site check-in closes for the event

1030 Intended first warning signal for Race Area B, (Opti Red-White-Blue) and Race Area C (C420, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7).

1100 Intended first warning signal for Race Area A for Opti Green Fleet.

1030-1430 Emerald Fleet Clinic & Activities

1700 No warning shall be made after this time.

SUNDAY October 20, 2024:

0900 Sunday, Intended first warning signal for all Race Areas.

1300 Sunday, No warning shall be made after this time.

0930-1330 Emerald Fleet Clinic & Racing

Awards will be presented as soon as possible after the completion of Sunday races and the completion of protest/redress hearings that might affect the outcome of the top finishers

Note: There will be a special Race for Ice Cream for the Green Fleet with day & time determined by the Race Officer.

Hotels & HOTEL Hotline:

Edison Sailing Center has teamed up with a local non-profit, Lee County Sports Housing, to offer discounted hotel accommodations for this event. A team of local reservation specialists will share their knowledge of each property’s amenities; also the best beaches, attractions, shopping, and restaurants.

CAMPING/RV PARK:

Camping/RV Parking - unless your RV/camper can fit into one parking space, overnight parking is not permitted. Please contact the OA for an alternative overnight location.

SUPPORT BOATS AND COACH BOATS:
Support Boats and Coach Boats- In consideration of safety for all competitors, all coach and support boats shall register online [insert registration link]. Registered support and coach boats will be assigned a numbered pennant that will be distributed at check-in. Any boat displaying a pennant is asked to remain 200 yards from the racing area. Boats not in compliance may be subject to a penalty.

Support and coach boat operators are required to wear approved USCG life jackets and by law must employ the kill switch. Spectators are expected to also comply with life jacket and kill switch safety precautions.

EVENT FEES:
$100 single-hand, $175 double-hand if paid by October 1st, between October 2nd-10th the fees are $150 single-hand, $225 double-hand

Please read this form carefully. By signing this form &/or using County property to participate in Edison Sailing Center classes and events, you will be expressly assuming the risk & legal liability, and waiving & releasing all claims for injuries, damages, or loss which you might sustain as a result of participating in, connected with, &/or associated with this type of activity on County-owned property.

I agree that health & safety guidelines currently in effect may require that I &/or my child(-ren) will comply with social distancing policies which may include among other things, the use of personal protection (PPE) such as buffs or masks when on land, and follow procedures requested while participating in Edison Sailing Center activities or classes.

I agree to wear a US Coast Guard approved life jacket while participating in any activity or class.(This is a basic safety precaution and is required)

I convey permission to publish my or my child(ren)’s photograph or likeness in media to include but not be limited to newspapers, videos, drone footage, &/or photography.

The participant in any Edison Sailing Center activity is Captain of his/her vessel during the activity.

I recognize and acknowledge there may be certain risks involved in participating in this type of activity and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any injury, damage or loss that I &/or my child(ren) may sustain as a result of participation in such activity on County-owned property.

I further agree to waive & relinquish all claims I may have or that may accrue to me &/or my child(ren) by participating in such activity, or from using such property against the County, including their respective officials, officers, employees, & volunteers (collectively referred to as “Parties”). I do hereby fully release & forever discharge the Parties from any and all claims for injuries, damages or loss that I &/or my child(ren) may have or may accrue to me &/or my child(ren) and arising out of connection with, or in any way associated with, the use of County property for participation in Edison Sailing Center events and classes.

I indemnify and hold harmless Lee County, any of its employees or agents from any & all claims from my &/or my child(ren)’s use of County property. I have read and fully understand the above important information, warning of risk, assumption of risk and waiver & release of all claims.
