MRYC will host the Challenge intended to prove who has the better boardmen in the fleet. There will be events to test strength, agility, and the ability to swim with your board. This is a team event, so canoes wishing to compete will offer up a team of four boardmen to represent their canoe.

Besides bringing your 4 best boardmen to compete, you will need to bring one board from your boat. Participants are going to get wet, so be prepared. We will have trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. We might have some other trophies too.

There is a lot of bragging rights on the line, but the event is really a social event. Everyone is welcome to come watch and enjoy cheering on their favorite canoe. There will be a bar set up at the pool and refreshments available during and after the event.

With all the bravado and trophies, this should be a fun event and a great way to round off the end of another log canoe racing season. I hope you can come join us on the 13th.
