The Annual Founder's Cup Regatta honors Doc Kerman and the other local sailors who founded the Halifax Sailing Association in 1957. This year’s regatta will feature a buoy course for youth sailors competing in Opti’s (GRWB), 420’s and Laser Radials and a distance race for other sailors.

Venue

Racing will be on and around the intracoastal waterway, locally known as the Halifax River, between the Orange Avenue Bridge and the Dunlawton Bridge.

Course

The specific details for the distance course and buoy course will be covered during the skippers meeting.

Fees (Fees are per boat.)

Adult Multi-Crew: $35 (Early registration discount fee -$25 before 9/19).

Adult Singlehanded: $25 (Early registration discount fee- $15 before 9/19).

Youth Sailors (17 years and younger): $15 (Early registration discount fee- $10 before 9/19).

The sailing instructions will be available at the skippers meeting.

Dining

An Italian Buffet will follow the racing. All competitors and guests are asked to bring an appetizer or dessert.
