First organized in 1995 by his grandaughter, Elisabeth Chandler, the last Shields races of the year are a 3 race series to honor Albert Lukavich on his birthday. Artist Gregory Hawthorne of Big Sur created the perpetual trophy. The regatta scores will be part of the Fall Shields Series
