New Bedford Yacht Club is pleased to welcome junior sailors, parents and coaches to NBYC for the 2019 NBJR. We invite 420, Optimist, Laser Radial, and O'pen Bic sailors to join us for an exciting weekend of racing on Buzzards Bay.
NBYC invites regatta sailor to bring their party attire and join us on Saturday evening for dinner and live music provided by teen sibling band Morrissey Blvd @morrisseyblvdband. Dinner will begin at 5:30pm with music to follow at 6:00pm.
NBJR has joined the race to restore ocean health with Sailors for the Sea’s Clean Regattas program. Protecting our local waters is very important to this regatta and we ask for your help in this effort. To learn more about this initiative visit http://www.sailorsforthesea.org.
NBJR kindly asks for your help on the following items:
- BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE (this means coaches and parents too!)
- Ensure your recycling and trash are separated before disposing of waste
- Please carpool or plan to walk/bike to NBYC if local
- Coach and spectator boats, please place an oil absorbent pad in your bilge
