NOTICE OF RACE
INVITATION: SYSCO extends an invitation to all one-design sailboat skippers to compete in this unique One-Design Regatta on the Columbia River between the I-5 and I-205 bridge.
DESCRIPTION: This will be a multi-race one day regatta focusing on 4-5 short races that will test your starting and boat handling skills.
ELIGIBILITY AND INSTRUCTIONS: Races will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, OCSA General Sailing Instructions, and supplemental sailing instructions posted on the OCSA Event Notice Board. The regatta is open to all boats sailing at the one-design level; all entrants shall comply with the rules governing their one-design class. There must be a minimum of three (3) boats to designate a class. All entrants must be current OCSA members.
DATES AND TIMES: First warning signal is at 1300 hours. Additional races (up to 5 races) will be run for all classes. The starting sequence will be noted in the OCSA Event Notice Board.
REGISTRATION: Entry and payment must be completed online at www.sailpdx. org. Indicate class preference on the entry form. The registration deadline is 24 hours prior to the first scheduled race. Late registration may be accepted up to 1800 hours on the day before the first scheduled race with a $30 late fee in addition to any required entry fees. Otherwise, no late entries will be accepted.
FEES: Free for SYSCO members. $30 for non-members and associate members.
COURSES: The OCSA General Sailing Instructions and Courses will be used and are available in the OCSA Racebook.
