Breaking News - Change of Venue……Bluster 2021 Hello All, Unfortunately we have had to change venues due to Magnuson Resort closing its doors due to Covid 19. We have moved the event to Gulfport Yacht Club, which is about 10 minutes from the original race site. The address for GYC is 4638 Del Rio Way S, Gulfport Fl, 33707. This is our home club here in the area and look forward to having everyone experience some sailing in Gulfport. We will be sailing in Boca Ciega Bay, same waters as Tampa Bay however closer to the beaches. Some of you may have secured rooms with the Magnuson, if any monies were exchanged there will be a full refund. If you should have any issues, please let me know and I can direct you to Courtney Lee who is our rep with the hotel and she will get it handled for you. We have secured a block of rooms at a new hotel. The Bilmar Resort is located about 10 minutes from the race site / GYC directly on the beach. The Bilmar is located at 10650 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island Fl 33706, the contact number is 1-877-834-0441. Our contact for the event at the resort is Julie. The rooms with the regatta discount are under “Bluster on the Bay”. Due to covid and current CDC Guidelines, mask wearing is mandatory in all areas of the hotel other than your room. If you visit one of the restaurants within the hotel, a mask is mandated until you are seated at your table. In closing, I would like to request that all that have registered PLEASE pay on line as we are trying to mitigate hand to hand contact for the event.
