This is a Weta Class North America santioned event. This Weta regatta will take place at the Gulfport Yacht Club in Gulfport, Florida. Any class member or anyone interested in the Weta trimaran sailboat may enter. There will be 2 days of racing, one start for both single-handed and double-handed. This is also an event of the Weta Class Florida District Championship.
The Organizers have selected The Magic Yarn Project to support as our charity. The foundation was co-founded by Dick Hitchcock's daughter Bree Hitchcock who now serves as co-CEO. This 100% volunteer organization's mission is to make and distribute character wigs to children who are suffering medical hair loss. It is the charity's goal to bring happiness into the lives of children stricken with cancer.
