Santa Barbara Yacht Club and the Santa Barbara Sailing Club invites the following classes to the Goleta Beach Race: PHRF, CHRF and One design fleets. This year, there will be a predicted log for cruisers!
The Goleta Beach Race has been an awesome collaboration between the Santa Barbara Sailing Club and the Santa Barbara Yacht Club for several years with SBYC starting and finishing the race and the SBSC hosting an amazing on shore BBQ at Goleta Beach. This year, we will unfortunately not be able to do the picnic or shuttle boats to shore, but we are encouraging all boats to anchor and bring their own lunches/drinks while enjoying on the water live music entertainment. Cruisers, racers, and members of both clubs are invited and encouraged to join in, even if you will be driving by road there. We look forward to having you join us!
SANTA BARBARA CHANNEL
Santa Barbara Channel offers 50 miles of unparalleled scenery. It is bordered by the Channel Islands National Park to the south and the ‘American riviera’ to the north. In March, the venue provides a variety of wind conditions and average temperature near 70 degrees. The city of Santa Barbara is one of Southern California’s top family vacation destinations, and offers a wide range of options for racers and their ‘shore crew’.
SANTA BARBARA YACHT CLUB
One of the oldest clubs on the west coast, Santa Barbara Yacht Club has served racing sailors since 1872. Its current location overlooks the mountains, beaches, and harbor of Santa Barbara. The club supports a wide range of one design, dinghy, and rating rule classes for all ages. The members welcome all regatta participants to enjoy SBYC, the city, and the excellent sailing conditions of Santa Barbara
