2023 GRSA Invitational Regatta and Thistle Central Atlantic District Championship The 2023 Greater Richmond Sailing Association Invitational Regatta will be held June 10-11. Swift Creek Reservoir promises fantastic lake sailing conditions. This will be an exciting year as the 2023 Invitational Regatta will also be host for the Thistle class Central Atlantic District Championship Regatta. We expect a strong fleet of Flying Scot sailboats tuned to perfection as they return from the FS National Championship. All Thistle class sailboats are invited to compete in the Invitational Regatta. Additional awards will be issued for Thistle sailboats from fleets in the Central Atlantic District. The CAD Championship Regatta is a qualifier for the 2023 Thistle Nationals in July at Flathead Lake, MT. GRSA cares about the environment and recognize that Swift Creek Reservior is a drinking water source. This regatta is registered with Sailors for the Sea as a Clean Regatta. Bring your refillable water bottles, drink cups and reusable items as we work to eliminate waste. Mineral based reef safe sunscreen and environmentally friendly cleaning products for your boat are the best choices.
