A fun, full day of racing basics for both beginners and intermediates. We'll start the day with review of basic sailing and racing concepts, then visit some race boats where skippers will demonstrate various sail handling systems. After lunch, we'll get out on the water to put what we learned into practice. No racing experience necessary for beginners but we do recommend some sailing experience. Intermediates are expected to have taken this class before or have raced a few times in the last year. Instructors will consist of volunteers who have considerable racing experience and are proven to have trained beginners to become regular crew members. The goal of this seminar is to enhance your skills enough so that participants will be qualified to crew on local race boats as the racing season gets underway. Participants will receive a follow up communication with more details about what to expect and what to bring. Lunch and continental breakfast is included in the registration fee.
