The Midwinter’s will be hosted by the Upper Keys Sailing Club and will be sailed on beautiful Buttonwood Sound in Key Largo, Florida. We will continue to use same format as the past few years. Racing begins on Thursday; but the past two years’ practice racing were such a success we will be continuing the tradition on Wednesday afternoon again and weather permitting, the “around Porjoe Key” distance race for the coveted bottle of Nassau Royale Rum. This will give us 4 days of sailing. Sailors arriving early will have use of the club facility to set up and do some practice sailing, prior to the event. Also, the Force 5 Class Officers have requested time for a class meeting which is scheduled for Thursday after racing.
