Volunteers make good things happen! Each regatta is unique according to its location and the scope of racing intended. Laser Midwinter East (LMWE) is supported by some 50 – 60 volunteers in positions on-water and ashore. While many positions are filled by members of the Clearwater Yacht Club and by others from the Clearwater area, some of the most able and effective volunteers come from among parents and supporters who come for the regatta. We invite all those who will be in Clearwater for LMWE to volunteer to serve as a member our regatta team. If you prefer to be on the water (and close to the action), there are opportunities on Signal, Finish, Mark, or Safety boats. Ashore, there are positions in Registration (on Wednesday), Safety support (accountability), and Food service for racers (setting up morning and post-race snacks, fruit, and drinks). Volunteers will be much appreciated with priority given to those who can be scheduled for all four days on the water. Please consider volunteering and contact me in advance.
