The annual HYC Reach Down the Beach is the “positioning” race (i.e. an event to get race boats to the starting line in Freeport) for the HYC Offshore Regatta and will be sailed on Friday 10 May. Competitors are welcome to register in either or both of these events. This is to accommodate racers from the HYC Commodore’s Cruise (a separate event not covered in this NOR) who will be meeting us in Freeport. The race will be “pursuit-style” between Galveston and Freeport for spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes. There will be a regatta dinner in Galveston Thursday evening.
