A few weeks ago a tug and barge (we think) knocked over #8 channel marker on south side of channel. The Coast Guard came out and replaced missing marker with a small red lighted buoy with a #8. They were unable to locate fallen pole and cage.. BUT you can find it if you got between that maker and the breakwater. RYC recomends you avoid going between #8 and the shore as you can join the list of boats that have it the underwater monster including our commodore.
