Question: Will mark “Y” be in the water before the starting sequence and will its coordinates be broadcast?
Answer: Mark “Y” will be dropped to form a windward-leeward leg between it and mark “O”. It is likely that it will not be dropped before the start sequence. The race committee will attempt to broadcast the approximate bearing and distance from “O” to “Y” on VHF channel 69. Lat/Lon coordinates for mark “Y” will not be broadcast.

Question: What is mark 1C?
Answer: Mark 1C is Galveston Entrance Buoy 1C (Green). From the start, outbound, green buoys are "11" - "9" - "7" - "5" - "3" - "1C".
