Question to the Race Committee 49er and 49erFX

The Race Committee has received a question about the scoring of the Medal Stage for 49er and 49er FX. Their answer is posted below:
Question:
We know that the first of the fleet has one point (one victory) but we don't know the system of the point for the rest of the people and how it will be the race. How many point will be give to each one.
Answer:
The low point scoring system applies. See RRS 90.3(a). For Stage 2 of 2 (Medal Series) in the 49er/FX event, the first boat to win twice, wins the event. The rest of the boats in that stage are ranked 2nd through 6th in accordance with their medal stage scores. See Addendum D, notes 9 & 10.

SCHEDULE FOR RS:X MEN & RS:X WOMEN on Friday, February 1
The scheduled Warning Signal times for RS:X Semi Final and Final races and for the last Fleet Races for Friday, February 1 will be:
1030 – RS:X Women Semi Final Race
1100 – RS:X Men Semi Final Race
1130 – RS:X Women Final Race
1200 – RS:X Men Final Race
1230 – RS:X Women’s Fleet Racing Last Race
12 40 – RS:X Men’s Fleet Racing Last Race

SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR LASER SILVER
The schedule for Laser Silver for Friday, February 1 is changed so that Laser Silver will start at 1230 and sail 3 races.
